#Snapshot: Rappelling for a Cause

Welcome to another edition of #Snapshot, where we bring you a little slice of what’s going on at Summer Search.

Who’s that representing Summer Search 31 stories up? Spiderman?

No, it’s not the web-slinging superhero. It’s Program Director Colin Marlowe from Summer Search Philadelphia!

Colin recently participated in Building Adventure 2015, a “high-adrenaline” fundraising event supporting the Philadelphia Outward Bound School, which has been a great partner to our Philly office. Through generous programming tailored to Summer Search, they take the majority of Philly sophomores on wilderness expeditions every year, including this year’s incoming sophomore class.

Colin rappelled 418 feet (that’s 31 stories!) down a skyscraper in the middle of downtown Philly to raise money as part of Nancy Goldenberg’s rappelling/fundraising team. Nancy was a past Summer Search Philly Board Chair, and is currently on the board at Outward Bound.

The entire Philly office came out to support Colin, with a clever sign too!

Congratulations Colin for #GoingForHard, and for making it back to earth in one piece!
