The week started off with Summer Search New York City’s Young Leadership Committee (YLC) Cocktail Event. The YLC is a group of young professionals who share Summer Search’s commitment to college success for all youth in New York City. AT&T and Summer Search: Changing the Narrative for Young Men of Color

SAT Vocab, Summer Search Style

With SAT season getting underway next week (the first test of the new academic year is Oct. 3!!), high school students across the country are preparing to take the nation’s most widely used college admission test.

For those of us who have already taken the SATs, each year we breathe a sigh of relief for the fact that we no longer have to spend time memorizing formidable (causing fear or apprehension) lists of vocabulary words.

Choosing the Right School… for You

There has been a lot of exciting things going on in the world of higher education lately! Allow us to summarize.

U.S. News & World Report recently published their 2015 College Rankings, while the New York Times put out a list of the Top Colleges Doing the Most for Low-Income Students. Also, the White House just released several new higher ed tools, including a College Scorecard, and also announced big changes to the FAFSA financial aid application.
